Yay!!!!!!!!

So I have really exciting news. I got a call back for the Ulta job. They are even going to keep a few permanent positions on too! I am so ecstatic! It's not a huge position, but it is a really big deal. This is the first step I have taken into this field. Well, not retail. I've done that before. But, this is a huge step for me. Quiting a for sure Mon-Fri, 8-5 desk job with health insurance and pay vacation. To finally start working in a field similar to the one I want to be in. This opens up the door for huge possibilities. For those who know me, know that this is something I have been waiting to do for a long time! I have the interview on Monday. Wish me luck and good grace ∩( ・ω・)∩

Sunday, my sister in law, Kacie, came over while my husband was the Vikings game with his dad. Kacie does photography as a hobby. So, while they were out,we had a little fun (^_-)-☆

And of course there are at least a hundred more of them (⌒▽⌒)We had her in bows, all different kinds of hats, dresses, just diaper, awake, sleeping, this way, that way. Poor little Isabella was so tired afterwards but she had a lot of fun too! She had a lot of smiles for us (●^o^●)

So, this next week is going to be so busy. I am getting primped up for my interview. I am taking his seriously because this is something that I have been wanting for a very long time. I want to look like this job belongs to me  (^v^)Well, it does belong to me (^_-)

Well, I am off to go eat dinner and relax with the hubbers. We finally got our Roku box working. We have the ancient model so the last update really messed with it. But now we have it up and running with Hulu Plus working on it again. So, it will be a night filled with all the shows we've missed over the pass two weeks.

Goodnight sparkles!

Election Day!!!!!!!

Yay! It's election day and today is the first time that I ever voted. Looks like we have another first time voter too (^_-)-☆

Man, this voting is thing is tense. It's like trying to win a raffle. You hope they say your name but it is all by chance. Both Barack Obama and Mitt Romeny are running really close together with the electoral votes.

On the plus side, the marriage amendment for Minnesota looks like it might not pass. For those who are not familiar with this amendment, let me explain. It is a amendment, if voted yes, they would add an amendment into our state's legislation stating that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. It wouldn't make gay marriage legal if voted no, but if voted yes, would make it almost impossible to make it legal in Minnesota. I voted no. This is because when I was in the United States Army, I fought along side with both "straights" and "gay/lesbian" to help protect the freedoms of this country. But only the straight people are allowed to have those freedoms? Eh. It was the same nature when it came to bi-racial marriage 50 years ago too. Now that is legal, and one day this will be too.

Anyways, less ranting (-_-;) I can't wait till all the votes come in to see who the leader of America will be for the future four years. It has been a very leap frog kind of race. It is soooo close.

Who will win this? Only time can tell.

Until next time,

This year's wishlist....

This is a wish list I have for this winter!

Big, chunky cowl
Fluffy earmuffs
Cashmere leggings

Busy little bee!

Hello everyone!

It has been a busy few days here. I have been cleaning, taking care of Isabella, and trying to spend some time with the ol' ball and chain (^-^)/

I actually had time to have breakfast with my hubby on Saturday. We went to Ol' Piper Inn. It is one of our favorite places with the most amazing food. And oh my, that was the best omelette ever. Gooey cheese, sauteed onions and mushroom, with the yummest pork sausage pieces in it. I was in omelette heaven!

After we finish breakfast, we went to Menard's (a home improvement store) to pick up a few things. We finally got the sink sprayer fixed and a ceiling fan for our bedroom. The sink was so hard clean without the sprayer. It's a white, porcelain sink so you see every bit of food that is stuck in and on it. No more scrubbing like a maniac (^ ^;) We also can cover the hole we have in  our ceiling from where the last fan was. It has been just a hole with wires hanging out of for the past two months. But, knowing us, it will be another two months before the new ceiling fan is installed. Poo.
Afterwards we went to Target to look for a picture frame. For my husband's anniversary present, I had a picture of all three of us printed in 16X20 to hang behind the couch. I couldn't find one that I liked. I wanted something vintage looking and all there was a thin black frame for that size. (* ̄m ̄) My hubby gave me these beautiful flowers!

Then later on my mother and father in law came by. My mother in law love, love, loves Isabella. She bought her the cutest outfit. It's little monkey outfit because she calls Isabella little monkey. She accidentally left the tag on it and I almost passed out when I saw it. $60!  (゜◇゜)She is only wearing that outfit in her one year pictures or when she visits grandma.

As for mission "Getting my confidence back", it is going great. I have been on a 1,200 calorie diet and I've already lost 6 lbs. this week. I can't wait to see the finish look! (●^o^●)I have been using the Fitness Pal App on my Iphone. If you have the same app we can be friends. My s/n "LoraAV" I really love this app. It is free and its a great calorie counter. You can even scan barcodes off of what you are eating and it will bring up everything from the calories to the serving size. If you count your calories, this is truly the best app, free or not.

I can't wait to clothes shopping. I keep seeing all these cute clothes and I can't buy them! (‘A`) Grrrrr! I am looking forward to going clothes crazy. I did, however, buy a pair of cute jeggings not too long ago. They are normally $80 something but I found them on Ebay for $20. They are from Express and they are the perfect fit. I did buy them in a size that will fit eventually. I know they say you shouldn't buy clothes that are smaller that what you are but I couldn't resist. They were the color that I wanted too. (⌒▽⌒)

Well I need to change this little girlie's diaper. She is stinky! (・。・;)

Until next time!
